چکیده
Abstract This study evaluates the application feasibility and properties of cement-bonded particleboards produced from mixed tropical hardwood species. Wood residues a typical sawmill were collected, dried used in manufacturing cement composites. The wood Ceiba pentandra Gmelina arborea timber seven ratios production composite samples. Two control experimental samples containing unmixed each species also produced. test carried out on boards flexural strength, water uptake wet dry screw withdrawal resistance. effect mix ratio board was evaluated. result showed that all except resistance significantly influenced by ( p < 0.05). ranged 1170 to 1770 N 1360 1830 N, respectively. optimum for enhancing mechanical performance 1:4 C. / G. residues. Based this study, can be as ceiling tiles building applications.

Weathering Performance of Particleboards Manufactured from Blends of Forest Residues with Red Pine (pinus Brutia) Wood
Red pine cone and barks combined with red pine wood particles in various proportions were used as the raw materials for one and three layered experimental particleboard manufacturing in laboratory conditions. The pine cones and barks have higher lignin, but lower holocellulose content compare to wood. For bark-based panels, the highest MOR (2.52 MPa) corresponded to the lowest thickness swellin...

This work investigates the feasibility of producing low density particleboards using an adhesive system based on sour cassava starch, taking advantage of its adhesive and self-expansion properties. Relevant properties of the produced particleboards were evaluated according to European Standards including: density, internal bond, moisture content and thickness swelling. Low density particleboard...
متن کاملNatural Durability and Performance of Hornbeam Cement Bonded Particleboard
Cement bonded particleboards were manufactured from hornbeam (Carpinus betulus L.) wood particles. Hydration tests were carried out to determine the inhibitory index in order to characterise wood-cement compatibility. The results revealed that the mixture of hornbeam -cement can be classifi ed as moderate inhibition. Two wood: cement ratios were applied in this study, namely 1:3 and 1:4, for th...

Background: Pesticides are essential in modern agricultural practices but due to their biocide activity and potential risk to the consumer, the control of pesticide residues in foods is a growing source of concern for the general population. Extensive application of such agents as organochlorine pesticides in farmlands and contemporary agricultural industries has led to undesired environmental ...
